The Town of Sutton is a rural community located in the heart of the Blackstone Valley, minutes from Worcester and the Mass Pike and just 15 minutes from the Rhode Island border.  Our excellent schools, rural character, and safe surroundings make Sutton the ideal environment to live and to raise a family.
Waters Farm
Waters Farm, a hilltop homestead built in 1757 by Stephen Waters, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in Sutton, overlooking beautiful Lake Manchaug. 
Whitin Machine Works
The Whitin Machine Works was founded by Paul Whitin and sons in 1831 on the banks of the Mumford River in South Northbridge.  The village of South Northbridge became known as Whitinsville in 1835, in honor of its founder.  The Whitinsville Social Library has digitized copies of the Whitin Spindle, a yearbook of the company.  They can be viewed online here:
